CLD…..you know about it?
DO you know what is CLD? Some of you may not know what is CLD program. This is an unique education programme in District 308B2! the one and only eductaion programme for Leos!
CLD Programme or COntinuos Leo Developemnt Programme is one of our LCI District 308 B2 Education Programme. It provides training to our B2 Leos to become a knowledgeable and quality members!

Questions about CLD that has been left unanswered since Omega Leo Workshop 2006/07 in Cameron Highlands:
- Why is the written test needed? Leo is able life experience, memorizing and vomiting back answers belongs to the school. Having test makes Leo no different from Moral education.
- If written test is important and CLD is also to develop good Leo Advisors, why Leo advisors do not go through CLD tests?
- How many of those that have completed CLD are still Leo members and join Lions? What are the success rate?
- How are CLD trainers/facilitators selected? Are they really qualified?
- How are the tests being marked? If we fail, why don’t anyone tell us the reason and what did we do wrongly? If nobody guide us on our mistake, wouldn’t we make mistake again in the next test? Can we have our “test papers” back?
- Why don’t the so called CLD seminar be more of an experiential learning session rather than seminar where Lions read from slides?
- Why don’t qualification for CLD come through recommendations from Leo Advisors based on commitments and experience displayed and achieve rather than taking tests?
- If the Leos spend time memorizing (don’t tell me it’s not true, it’s a Malaysian culture), and then a weekend to do the test; wouldn’t we end up having less time to serve the community and less time to learn hands on?
I hope someone would answer the questions above although I won’t be dissappointed to be ignored once again.
